Climate targets: net-zero by 2050

Pfeiffer has set climate targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). They include a 58.8% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions – from operations and purchased energy – by 2034, using 2022 as our baseline year. Our ultimate goal is to reach net-zero greenhouse gases across the entire value chain by 2050, paving the way toward a low-carbon world.

Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions is a member of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest sustainability initiative. We are committed to its ten principles covering key areas like human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.

Sustainability report

As a company in scope of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions publishes an independently assured annual sustainability report that outlines our environmental performance, key ESG data, climate targets, and progress toward our SBTi commitments as well as the UN Global Compact goals.

In accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting standard (ESRS), this transparent communication tool provides customers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders with the insight needed to evaluate our sustainability strategy and make informed decisions on business activities.

Founding member of the Semiconductor Climate Consortium

The Semiconductor Climate Consortium is the first global initiative to unite companies across the entire semiconductor value chain in collective climate action. As a founding member, Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions actively supports industry-wide efforts to reduce CO₂ emissions and promote sustainable business practices in one of our most important markets.
